Alexander J. Monje
Alexander J. Monje is a partner at Del Cristo, Fernandez & Monje who practices in the area of civil litigation with a focus on business, employment, real estate, and securities litigation, as well as startup law. Having worked at a major investment bank, and with startups and emerging companies, Alex develops his case strategy with the client’s business objectives at the forefront. Alex has represented clients in complex actions in both State and Federal Court. Additionally, Alex has represented clients in arbitration proceedings in front of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the United States Department of Labor.
Before enrolling in law school, Alexander worked in the financial services industry as a registered representative for notable broker-dealers, including Morgan Stanley and Gabelli & Company, and also spent time working in public service in the office of a U.S. Senator. Alexander is a Miami native and is fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
Alexander received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. While at Miami Law, Alex was a member of the University of Miami's Investor Rights Clinic, Startup Practicum (Clinical Fellow), Mock Trial Team, and Zurich Exchange Program (Financial and Business Law). He also received the CALI Award for Excellence for receiving the highest grade in both Mediation and Corporate Compliance.
While in law school, Alexander served as a judicial intern for Justice R. Fred Lewis of the Florida Supreme Court.
